COMMUNITY SELF BUILD

Transition Penwith would like to introduce Roger Thompson from the Community Self Build Agency.  Housing is an increasing problem across the UK including Cornwall; it is especially difficult for the unemployed or those with a limited income.

The aim of the Community Self Build Agency's (CSBA) is to enable people from all backgrounds, in housing need, to build their own homes and benefit from belonging to a self build housing group. It can put potential self builders in touch with each other and help them link up with local partners.
Community Self Build is about a group of local people in housing need, building their own homes and gaining much more besides. Group Self Build involves a group of individuals coming together and forming themselves into either a self-build housing association or a housing co-op.
