Ask the public what they have the biggest problem with as far as waste reduction and recycling are concerned and they will say “packaging” and particularly “plastic packaging”.
Ask the packaging industry what they have to say in response and they will say packaging is necessary to protect food, to prolong its life, and for branding, transport and information.

Renewable Futures is South West England's biggest sustainable energy conference where delegates will see how they can make the most of the huge renewable energy drive to help the UK reach its 2020 renewables target.

The conference and exhibition will bring together a diverse range of individuals and organisations with interests in the south west sustainable energy sector. The programme will address topical issues, and in particular it will focus on how the south west can meet that the challenges that will arise from the UKs 2020 renewables targets.

Biogas technology (anaerobic digestion) is common-place in Germany and Austria with a large number of installations on farms and elsewhere.

You are invited to contribute to a stakeholder event to discuss the opportunities and challenges presented by the Sub National Review's proposed regional changes. The event will identify recommendations to better embed sustainability in transport/access in the new regional processes and landscape.

You are invited by the Cornwall Sustainable Building Trust to attend workshops over 2 days!

These workshops will be held at various locations in Cornwall.

The first day will be at the Eden Project and will focus on the
uses of hemp, new products being derived from hemp and the
use of hemp. The afternoon session will focus on “Whole
House” energy efficiency, introducing new systems that would
be compatible with new generation hemp/lime buildings....
