Wild St IvesWant to learn how to harvest your own food for free? Explore lost flavours of the Cornish landscape? Worried about the zombie appocalypse? Join Wild St Ives for a guided foraging walk at the Steeple Woodland nature reserve. The afternoon will involve a relaxed walk around the nature reserve, stopping frequently to discuss the plants they come across.

Perfect for beginners or more experienced foragers, the content of the course will be tailored to peoples experience and interests. The aim is to give people the skills and confidence to begin their own journey into the world of wild foods and give inspiration for recipe ideas.

The Steeple is a beautiful area with many different habitats and interesting wild foods to meet. On the course Josh will introduce you to a variety of plants and their uses. You'll look at techniques to identify plants, legal issues, poisonous plants to avoid, sustainable harvesting techniques and uses of plants as food/ drinks and much more. There will also be some food and drink samples to try made from wild harvested ingredients.

Tickets are £20 for adults, £5 for 10-16yr olds, under 10's free
