Environmental Stewardship - making ELS work for you

The aim of the day will be to explain Entry Level Stewardship (ELS) and Organic Entry Level Stewardship (OELS). Information on organic conversion through OELS with the support of the Organic Conversion Information Service (OCIS) will be provided.

There will be one tour of the farm from 10:30am until 12:30pm. During the walk the practical aspects of managing the following options will be discussed :-
- Hedgerows and in-field trees
- Grass margins and field corners
- Over-wintered stubbles and other arable options
- Low input grassland and archaeology
- Woodland edge management
- Management plans

There will be walking across fields so please wear suitable clean footwear. A foot dip will be provided for bio-security purposes

BASIS and NRoSO points are available. (3 points each for Environment)
