Ecotricity

All the green electricity in Ecotricity's "New Energy" tariff comes from their own windmills but is topped up with ‘brown’ electricity which they buy from the wholesale market. Customers on the "New Energy Plus" tariff have their top-up from another producer's green electricity making it a 100% renewable supply. Ecotricity's main selling point is that - by percentage of turnover - they are the biggest investor in new renewable productive capacity within the UK.
